Whether you have heard of the B Corp movement or not, travelling with a sustainably-lead company is something we can all agree is the way forward. Not only does travel help broaden our personal views of the world, but it provides a chance for us to give back to the locals who strive to make travel experiences so inviting. It’s no surprise that in the last decade, with technological advancements, how we travel has shifted considerably. But it’s these movements, such as becoming a B Corp, that help to keep organisations accountable for the potential strain that may be caused to the environment along the way.
If this is your first time coming across the term ‘B Corp’, buckle your seatbelts while we share the top 4 benefits of travelling with an organisation with this certification.

Ask anyone who has taken a tour with us, and we’re sure they’ll agree that what makes the experience so special is the locals along the way. From the travel accommodation picks, to the activities on offer, who better to show you a place than those who live and breathe it daily? This also means your money helps the people who have been there for generations, instead of international owners who may have never been to the location. It’s just one of the ways being a B Corp benefits both you as the customer and us as a small-group tour provider.
A key part to taking one of our small-group tours includes travelling on a mini-coach. And with that comes using fuel to power our vehicles. It’s currently an unavoidable issue until we find an alternative way to get you to the most beautiful places in the country. However, to lighten the load, our best way to rectify this is by taxing ourselves £10 for every tonne of carbon we use. This money is then distributed to local communities or environmental projects voted for by our team. We are proud to say that since 2008, we’ve raised and donated over £120,000, which has gone to a wide selection of charities, including, but not limited to:
Be led down the paths less trodden, by those who know the trails better than any book. Holding a wealth of knowledge, each of our driver-guides go above and beyond to deliver a tailored service to the group they are hosting. From sharing regional tales and legends to recommending local eateries from personal experience, it's these small things that make your tour more memorable and help the businesses out, especially in quieter seasons. It’s just one of the benefits of choosing a B Corp certified company to travel with. And it’s because they care. Because we care.
Traditional travel contributes towards high carbon emissions, whether through flights, car transport or other elements which make up the experience. We recognize that exploring the world comes with these environmental impacts, particularly in terms of fuel use. While our mini-coaches, carrying 16 passengers, are more fuel-efficient per person compared to individual car travel, there is still a carbon footprint.
Our aim has always been to minimise the impact our small-group tours have on the places we love. And when you choose to travel with us, you support us in continuing to deliver responsible initiatives:
Becoming a B Corp travel company will help us grow in an ethical and sustainable way and maintain high standards of social and environmental responsibility.
B Corp Certification is a designation that shows a business meets high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency. This helps us with decision-making and to consider the interests of everyone involved with our business: workers, customers, communities and the environment.
It’s an opportunity to share our own experiences and learn from other businesses who are part of the B Corp movement. The Rabbie's vision is to make the world a better place through travel, and the B Lab’s ethos is the perfect fit and we are excited to be a part of a global movement that reflects our values.
Since 1993, Rabbie’s has aimed to make the world a better place through travel.
